Since we run Debian and Ubuntu-based platforms, we must use the Fedora VM image. I followed these steps for installation. 1. Download MissionLab FC4 VMWare image from Georgia Tech at http://www.cc.gatech.edu/ai/robot-lab/research/MissionLab/ <br \> 2. Download VMWare Player from http://downloads.vmware.com/d/info/desktop_downloads/vmware_player/3_0?oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=vmware%20player <br \> 3. The VMWare Player file is a .bundle. Mark it as an executable (chmod +x), and execute as root. This will launch a graphical install window. <br \> 4. Once VMWare Player is installed, load the VM image, and login (mast / masttastic) <br \> 5. Configure the network (you will have to re-probe for the mac address) and download Mission Lab. <br \> 6. Compile Mission Lab (I said no to all the prompted questions--it failed when I said yes) <br \> 7. I changed the login information from mast/masttastic to mast/[our bot account password] <br \> 8. the mission lab binaries should already be in your path. (mlab, cfgedit are the two main ones). Try them out to see that they work<br \> SF -- Main.StephenFox - 2011-05-31
